Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Question: What kind of service is this?
    Answer: It is an user-friendly explanatory service.
  2. Question: Do I have to know Hebrew?
    Answer: No, the service is in English and Hebrew, ‘Hebrish’.  There will also be seminars parallel to the service.
  3. Question: Who will be coming?
    Answer: Young people in their 20’s and 30’s from a range of no background to ‘traditional’.
  4. Question: Is it orthodox?
    Answer: The participants come from a whole range of backgrounds.
  5. Question: Is there separate seating?
    Answer: Yes, there is a low divider down the middle of the room
  6. Question: How do I dress?
    Answer: Business casual, or business.  Dress appropriate for a religious service
  7. Question: Do I have to bring a prayerbook?
    Answer: No, this is not required. MJE provides prayerbooks with English translation
  8. Question: Is there food served?
    Answer: Refreshments & Kiddush are served after all services (except Yom Kippur) with socializing.  Some sites have full meals you can sign up for.   There will be a break fast after Yom Kippur services at all locations for no extra cost.
  9. Question: Can I get a refund?
    Answer: MJE programming fees are non-refundable.  see our privacy policy for more information
  10. Question: Will you send me a ticket?
    Answer: No, there are no tickets for MJE services, but there will be door lists.
  11. Question: Not sure I will be in town, if I am can I walk in?
    Answer: Services at all 3 locations will sell out.  Therefore, you're required to purchase a ticket ahead of time.
  12. Question: What is included in the break fast after Yom Kippur? 
    Answer: Bagels, cream cheese, fruit, pastries, juice and more!
  13. Question: Where can I use my ticket? 
    Answer: Tickets are non-transferable.  Your ticket allows you to attend services & break fast at one location.
  14. Question: What does my ticket include?
    Answer: 1 ticket includes All Services for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur & Yom Kippur Break fast at one location
