Jacob Dallal served as a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces to the international press from 2001 to 2005. During the Lebanon War in 2006 he was acting head of the international press office, leading the army’s public relations effort with the world media during the war. He has appeared extensively on television and in print media as a spokesperson for the army.
Born in Chicago, Jacob made Aliyah after university, and worked as a reporter and then as editor at the Jerusalem Post, before serving in the IDF.
During the recent operation in Gaza, Jacob returned to Israel to serve in the Spokesperson’s Unit. He holds the rank of Major. |
